Expert Reports for Intimate Partner Violence and Child Protection Matters

Independent, Trauma Informed Clinical Opinions for Complex Family Situations

Family court matters involving trauma, intimate partner violence, child protection concerns, or high conflict parenting situations often require thoughtful clinical insight. In these cases, a focused expert report can help provide clarity regarding the psychological and relational factors affecting a family system.

At Four Wings Psychology, we provide expert reports for family court and child protection matters in Nepean and across Ontario. Our reports are grounded in trauma informed, evidence based practice and are prepared with objectivity, clinical rigor, and attention to the unique context of each family.

What Is an Expert Report?

An expert report is an independent clinical opinion prepared for legal proceedings. These reports are designed to assist the Court and legal professionals in understanding complex psychological, trauma related, and family dynamics that may be relevant to the matter before the Court.

Depending on the referral questions, reports may address areas such as
• The impact of intimate partner violence or trauma
• Child protection related concerns
• Emotional functioning and safety considerations
• The effects of conflict, stress, or trauma on family dynamics
• Trauma informed understanding of parenting related challenges

Expert reports are focused evaluations completed within a clearly defined scope and are not equivalent to parenting assessments or best interest evaluations.

At Four Wings Psychology, expert report services are conducted with professionalism, neutrality, and care. We understand that court involved matters can be highly stressful and emotionally charged for everyone involved.

Our process is

• Structured, transparent, and clinically grounded
